MARCH 20th ACW GAME!

Yeps...I'm running a game (surprise!), on Sat. March 20th at Games2D4 here in Indy. (www.games2d4.com) .

It's a division sized fight called "Engagement at Crummettsville".

I'm hoping to see a good group of players show up and have fun!

Here's the write up:

RALLY ROUND THE FLAG:

SCENARIO: “Engagement at Crummettsville”
TIME: Late June 1863
LOCATION: “Somewhere in Pennsylvania”

SITUATION: With Gen’l Lee’s ANV moving into Pennsylvania, Confederate forces are moving through small towns and getting much needed supplies to keep themselves on the march. A Confederate Division is moving towards the small town of Crummettsville, which houses a Federal Supply warehouse full of food and other supplies. Union Forces are marching fast and furious to stop them from seizing the town and the warehouse.

Currently there has been a “composite brigade” created and are in defensive positions around Crummettsville. They are determined to hold the Rebels until the rest of the Union forces arrive.

VICTORY CONDITIONS:

1: Confederate: Brush aside any enemy resistance and occupy the town. Have your supply wagon next to the warehouse for three turns (to load up supplies), and then get the supply wagon successfully off the table on the Confederate side.

2: Union: Prevent the Rebs from occupying the town and cleaning out the warehouse of it’s needed supplies. Defeat their forces in the field, and push them back off the table, (or at least across the creek).

STARTING POSITIONS:

A: Confederate Forces: All Units deployed per commanders options upon the field no further than 3 inches from the edge of the table.
Artillery may be limbered or unlimbered.

B: Union:
A: Composite Brigade: The Composite Brigade will start on the field in soft cover defensive positions on the approach to Crummettsville. Defensive positions may be placed anywhere along the North Side of Crummetts Creek.

B: Reinforcements: Union Reinforcements will start arriving on at the Beginning of Turn #3 on the East/West Entrances of the Crummettsville Road. Union units will begin on the edge of the table at road entrances and will come on in order as allocated by the Division Commander.
