A hearty apology to all of my readers as it seems that the last few months have slipped from me.
Due to "Real Life", (work, a long visit by my Father In Law, more work, redoing the garage, etc.), my attention to my figures, gaming, and my hobby has been on the back burner.
Last weekend was the first time I have sat down at my paint table since August.
Here's hoping that in the next couple of weeks I will be back in the swing of things and getting stuff going for this site.
Stay tuned.
More to come...

Well.....there goes January......
Greetings and happy 2015 yet again!
So the idea for 2015 is to try to
A: Paint more.
B: Build more.
C: Blog more.
Which then leads to "D: Game more".....
So A+B+C=D.....
However it seems that "Real life", has decided to kick in.
I am checking out of the month of January as it seems the last 2-3 weeks, (yes weeks), I will be working at different site locations. Now that means that in what little spare time I might have, I will try to get to some game stores or pick up some goodies but for all practical workbench purposes, January is a write off.....
Sigh....
This leads us to February....
And we shall see what fickle Mistress Fate has in store for me....
See ya' next month....
And until then,.......

Egad, It's almost May of 2014 already?!?!...
Oh my dear readers, I am sooooooo sorry!
It seems perhaps that this poor little blog was left out in the electronic digital cold tundra to wither and die from lack of attention....
To be honest, since the end of last year, things have just gotten away from me.
My work has taken off like crazy and with year end and now the beginning of convention and reenacting season, I am going to be hard pressed to keep this going (and regular).
Oh wait...who am I kidding? This isn't regular. It does need to be though.
Hmmm....
Okay...
Well I will try to at least cover some of the missing time...
So here we go...
First off....
Things slowed down as a result of a hard winter. We had recently purchased our house in October and now we were homeowners and watching with anxious trepidation as to the amount of ice and snow coming down and the uber frigid temps.
It's hard to sit in the garage work area and paint and my gaming work station, when the outside is so cold that it there are icecicles over four feet long hanging off the side of your house...

Yeps...four feet....
So with that in mind I took a stock (kinda sorta) of what I had in stock...
A quick pic of my 25-28mm drawer...the jumbled mess that it was:
And my even more confusing 15mm drawer....
"WHEN DID I GET ALL OF THIS STUFF?!?!..."
Battle Honors, Heritage, Minifigs, QRF, Peter Pig, Raventhorpe, Steve Jackson, just to make a few....sigh...
I then took a look at my kits that needed to be built...
And I had a good cry....
So in good tried and true form I laid a portion of the 28's on the table and tried to get some photos of what I had. ( It took five different photos to do this)....
Foundry, Eureka, Grenadier, Bolt Action, Pulp, Kenzer and Co, Rafm, Ral Partha, Harlequn, Reaper, Tri-Tac, Dixon, ShadowForge, Westwind, to name a few....
However my company messed up and sent me to Columbus on a long weekend to wait for a part that didn't show up for three days...
So while there I got a chance to visit, "The Soldiery"...
Honestly? When I walked through these doors...after waiting for the ever present backpack carrying fanboy to get out from blocking the doorway, with the exception of the Kids Card Group going that day, it was as if I had stepped back in time and walked straight into the early 1980's...around 1983...I was halfway expecting to hear The Eurythmics singing "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This"....
I swear I now know how Marty McFly felt in "Back To The Future"...
The Display case showing minis, and DICE BAGS!!!!
Of course they had GW stuff at GW prices too....240 bucks? I just bought a 48" LCD AND a new Blue-Ray for about the same price....yeesh...
But I did come in and walk out with some purchases...specifically some of the Undead from the Reaper "Bones" series that was funded on KS. (My opinions on KS are still out there for now...)
Not too bad I think.....
I also picked up some old WestWind Star Wars RPG figures (Mos Eisley Cantina), and for the first time ever I think I saw a figure in a package that was suffering from the first stages of lead rot. I'll post a pic here soon.
And my wife's daughter and her husband came to visit and we played Gloom and they loved it, and then we saw that they had this for sale at the LGS here in our town:
Oh dear....
And as the weather slowly lessened up and old man winter gave up his icy grip on us, I slowly started painting again, and actually finally preparing for my long overdue "Call of Cthulhu" game. (to be covered in the next entry)....
So now it looks like we are getting back on track with this thing! Let's celebrate!!!!
