Fall Update!

Greetings to everyone once again!
A lot has happened since my last entry, (Aug. 2nd 2020), and there is so much to say on the home front and the gaming front for me to update you with. This entry is pretty long and photo intensive so you might want to get some coffee and relax as you scroll through it.

FIRST OFF:

HOUSE!

Well, it's official. We have a new home!
In the last update, I had explained how we had needed to move due to the rising complications within the city of Indianapolis, and Marion County, Indiana in general. Rising taxes, and rising crime rates, along with the general overall craziness and a mayor that refuses to do his job, as well as changing factors in our neighborhood (Neo-Nazi Biker Wannabes moving a couple of houses down from us), had made us finally take action from our 14+ year long term rental.
We had looked at a number of houses, and lost out on a couple, and dodged a bullet on two of them, before we finally settled on the one I had originally saved from Zillow.
So we walked in, looked and made the offer. The offer was accepted and the sellers and my wonderful wife and I (Gawd bless her!), became good friends. All the deals and etc, went smooth on both our part and the sellers part with the listing agent being the only fly in the ointment, taking longer than usual to get required paperwork sent. But in the end, things worked out and The Lord blessed us with our new house.

We had originally thought about calling her "The Grand Dame", but instead settled on "The Old Girl"...
She is 103 years old and is historically registered. I am lucky enough to have the entire abstract of title for the entire house, (showing the platte for the town and the area to be signed and authorized by President John Quincy Adams). She is listed in the Indiana Historical Landmarks Association as the best preserved example of Colonial Revival Architecture in the entire county.

Myself and my wonderful wife (Gawd bless her!) after assuming possession of our new home...

So now that we had a place to live, came the new task...packing up all of the "stuff" and moving from the old home.
Now the old home that we lived at in Indy was never intended to be our "forever house". The original plan was for us to rent it for a couple of years and then find a place and move on to it from there, but due to issues with people living with us, (My wife's father, my son (three times), and my daughter and her boyfriend at the time (Bob)), as well as work issues, etc...the "couple of years" became "almost fifteen".
But now we had found our forever home.
And it was time to start "Loading up the truck."

PACKING AND MOVING....

George Carlin was right when he said "A house is a place for you to store your stuff while you go out and get MORE stuff..."
And all I can say about that is "Amen."
The actual packing and moving of boxes etc, took approx. a month, as I would load a dozen or so packed boxes into the truck and take up to the garage. The idea was for us to get the small and medium boxes out and moved, and then hire a brute squad (movers), to get the furniture and big stuff.
And it worked, but it was horrendous back breaking labor. Packing items, labelling boxes, stacking them, loading them into the truck, moving, unloading from the truck to store them into the garage for unloading and unpacking later. We lost two of those days for auto repairs, and at the same time had to deal with other issues (medical appointments, etc). But we slowly got things done.
It's amazing how much "stuff" this hobby of mine, and the amount of figures and stuff and all the other little things, (paints, supplies, etc), makes this an ever expanding monster.
In the end, while packing, I did an approximate inventory of unpainted figures. I came out with a little over Six Thousand (6000+) unpainted figures. (This does not include terrain, scenics, etc.)

So I packed...

And packed...

And packed yet more...

Until all the figures were packed...

Approx. 6100 figures packed up and ready for their new home...

And it was books, glasses, pipes, steins, rules, games, magazines and all other sorts of odds and ends as well.
Truly, what kind of madman has stuff like this?

Skull glasses, VHS Tapes, Steins, and an Elvis Coffee Cup...a sure sign of madness...

My ORIGINS Award from 2006

An old Ral Partha Fantasy Wyvern from 1993-ish...Primed and waiting patiently all these decades to be painted finally and put into action...

And yet, another "Major Award" that needed to be gently packed and carried so that it could be displayed with pride in the window for the neighborhood to see and enjoy this Christmas...

And as always, some unusual, (and old), military gear. Here is a Vietnam Era US Army buttpack.

And of course no move would be complete without a careful relocation of my Legendary Velvet Elvis... This is perhaps the finest artwork that anyone could buy off of a street-vendor in Juarez, Mexico for ten dollars...

And I had to pack up my cigars and humidors...

As well as my pipes and pipe tobacco...

And the wine jail...

That's a lot of bottles of hooch!

And it was time to pack the bottles of "The good stuff..."

The Weird Stuff...

One of the things about packing and moving is that you always, ALWAYS, find those "things" that you forgot about, thought you had lost, or even didn't even know you had. And there is also always "The odd and weird things", (especially with me)...

Well it IS an election year...

My old company/unit patch. C Co. ("Cobras"), 3/34th AR BN. 2nd BDE, 1st AD, Ferris Kaserne, Erlangen, FRG, 1984-1986.

A complete set of the old "Dark Cults" horror storytelling game, which came out in the early 80's. The artwork is amazing, and the game play is very good. It does require a player with good imagination to make the story-play go. This is a rare and hard to find game, and is actually complete, (including the decal). Sadly, I believe that it was ahead of it's time. There wasn't a market for card games such as this in the early 80's, and something called "Dark Cults", just didn't seem "right". I mean, ALL of those parents, and teachers, and clergy had seen Tom Hanks go crazy in "Mazes and Monsters", right?...right?..

And speaking of cards...

Some of my old cards from the "Deck of Many Things" in Dragon Magazine. Back in the nineties on a slow day at work in Korea, I printed them out, colored them, printed the backing, stick glued them, and then laminated them for use. 30+ years later the full set is still in excellent condition. They've only been used in one game....(and it wasn't pretty)...

Custom engraved glass mug for my ACW reenactment unit.

Hmmm...not really sure where this came from...but still...it's a nice addition to my bookshelf...next to the jar with the brain in it...

Hmmm...another odd book that "just seemed to find it's way" onto my bookshelf...

And Great Cthulhu appears! And he doesn't seem to happy about having to be packed away into a cardboard box...

Neither does "The Great Elvis Cthulhu"...

And it wasn't just stuff that I had collected either...
Way back in the early 1970's, when my mom was getting divorced from my crazy, murderous raging, alcoholic father, we stayed with a couple of her sisters. Along the way, I played with my toy soldiers. And when we moved to Texas, some of them were inevitably left behind, "Forever on patrol"...
A few years ago, when my mom died, the last surviving sister, (one of my aunts), brought this to me. She had found it in the backyard soon after we moved...And she had waited over 40 years to return this old soldier back to his commander.
He now sits in a place of honor on my shelf.

Ready for action....for over 40 years....

A coffee cup, "liberated" from "The Blue Ox" on Sandhill and Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The "Ox" was the place where the local gaming group that I was part of would go at night to eat, drink, and tell our "no shit there we wuz" gaming stories, war stories, and tales of life. For some reason, I had to have an escort with me whenever I went there, because if I went there alone, I always, ALWAYS had an issue with one of the waitresses. If someone went with me...no problem.  It was one of those "Murphy Weird" things that people simply could not understand....
Anyhow, the cup reminds me of days and games long ago gone...Good memories, good friends, and good times.

A 2005 promo badge for D&D announcing that "2005 is going to be the BIGGEST YEAR EVER for D&D...", along with a rare Dungeons and Dragons Metal Business Card Holder... Just the perfect thing for your office geek...

After all the packing the items were empty and loaded....

The once full display case...sadly empty...

As well as the crowded and every populated and busy painting desk/workbench...

From this...

To this...

And finally the last truckload was packed before the Brute Squad would come in to move the big stuff and the furniture.

And as a finality...
The lowering of the National Colors and Flag of The National African Republic of Bongolesia and it's base of operations in Indianapolis, to be moved to it's new home. A somber occasion for everyone.

And the last plane out of Bongolesia (for now), took to the skies from it's old location, journeying to it's new location in the future.
(*Cue the theme song to "The High and The Mighty")...

And that was it.
The house was packed. The Brute Squad came in and moved us, and we were outta there...
The end of an almost 15 year "Temporary stay" and into our (hopefully) "Forever home"...

The next part update will be on the house, and the new "Man Cave" so, STAY TUNED!!!!

Summer Update!

Summer update...

Welcome back dear reader!
Making a quick update here (with some pics!), as we now move into Level 8 of Jumanji (aka August) 2020.

House is as house does...

So in our last update, we had put an offer in on a house that had an entire extra outbuilding for my mancave, (manhouse?) on it.
We dodged a bullet on it. As the house didn't really pass any safety inspections.
Between then and now we put an offer on another house, only to be throat chucked with so much drama from the owner that it didn't go through.
Finally we found our Goldilocks "just right house."
We've put in another offer, and the offer was accepted. Home inspection has been done, WDI has been done, and now all we are waiting on now is the appraiser to come and do this thing and then the final paperwork and then the keys and it's MOVE IN TIME.
Oh great...moving in August...sigh.
We're already in the process of packing up, but this puts more of a fire under us. As now we have a reason and a date, (closing date is scheduled to be 1 Sept.), to get things moving. It puts a more realistic perspective on things.
TBH, I am trying to move up the closing date as I am not so sure about that whole "1 Sept Hitler invades Poland anniversary thing"...but we'll see what happens.
The house is beautiful, AND I GET A GAME ROOM!!!!
I'll be posting pics after the papers are finally signed.

Antiquing and Toys! (and food too!)....

To show the world what a great guy and husband I am, I "convinced my wife", (like I really needed to do that), that we should go to Gilley's Antique Mall on Saturday. Gilley's is about 12 miles from our house and has rows and rows and rows of other peoples stuff, (many of them long dead), and you can find a lot of good deals there.
While I was waiting on my wife and drinking a Pepsi, I noticed this plate on a holder above the refrigerator.
Old Texas memories....
Old Texas memories. Back when Country Music was really Country Music and the Lone Star, Pearl and Texas Pride beer flowed free and cheap, and you could learn how to dance The Cotton Eyed Joe there...

Gilley's Bar was a legendary honky tonk back in the 70's and 80's. Located in Pasadena, Texas; the parking lot was crushed oyster shell and always left a white coating of dust on your vehicle. If you didn't put your windshield wipers up when you parked your car, the staff would wander the parking lot at night and put Gilley's bumper stickers on everyone's bumper. It was where Mickey Gilley, and his band, "The Bayou City Beats", played every Saturday and KHTV local channel 39 would broadcast live from the bar.  It was Texas fun at it's boot and hat best...
Then "Urban Cowboy" came along...and every damn Yankee decided to want to do the same damn thing.
The club portion of Gilley's burned down in around 1990.
Sadly, there is a cheap knock off version of the club now located at "TI" (formerly "Treasure Island"), on the Las Vegas Strip.

Speaking of Beer....

So while my wife was wandering the aisles looking for treasures, I myself found one and then two...
Item #1:

I was lucky enough to find a Tucher Beer Nurnberg Fest Mug.
Tucher was founded in Nuremberg in 1672 and is a main staple beer with lagers, pilsners, weizens, etc. Despite it's taste, it always seemed to give me a bit of the winds. However in homage to a city that I loved (Nurnberg), I went ahead and got it. It will sit in a nice little place of honor among my steins.

WARP SPEED!!!!!!

So while perusing items in the aisles, I suddenly came across an item that was just begging for me to get it and take it home for a gaming prop/scenic...

Yeps!
I was able to find a Playmobil Playmates 1996 Star Trek "First Contact" model of "The Phoenix". Picked it up for 12 bucks.  Brought it home, cleaned most of the stuff off it, and removed the old batteries, (one of them corroded), and replaced with new ones (after cleaning off the contacts), and voila! It works!!!!
This would be a nice piece for a 15 mm game or perhaps even a 28mm game. It's the first scenic item I have picked up in a while.

And then, food...

This was the first real "excursion" my wonderful wife and I have done in quite a while and as a result, we decided to keep with tradition. We took a side road jaunt, (I actually mistakenly took the wrong road thinking it was the right road), and we ended up going to our favorite little hamburger stand out in the small town of Bainbridge.

A nice big double cheeseburger with fries, (and my wife got the fried mushrooms), washed down with Indiana's own Triple X Root Beer, made in good old Lafayette, Indiana. No high fructose corn syrup, no gluten, no caffeine; just pure can sugar and goodness.

GEN CON REMEMBRANCE...

So this past weekend would've been Gen Con 2020.
But it was cancelled due to this crazy Covid pandemic hysteria silliness.
Back in 2015 at Gen Con, I purchased some dice and the D&D 5th Edition Starter Set.
While at Wally World the other day, I decided to "Remember Gen Con" by doing the same thing.
So once again I purchased a 5th Edition Starter Set and a 3 set box of "Campaign Dice".
Godspeed GC 2020, and let's plan for GC 2021...

So that's about it for now.
Here's hoping that the next update will be on a moving report to our new house with pics!

"So we may be moving...."

As the month of May slipped into June, and now June is history; and as July comes before us, my wife and I have been looking for a new place to live.
There are many reasons for this, but essentially it boils down to the three simple facts:

A: The Cost of Living in Indianapolis has risen considerably. We've seen dramatic tax increases each year here.

B: Our neighborhood is turning into a "hood". We've had some pretty sketchy folks move in a few houses down, and the holiday weekends are filled with his biker buddies all coming over to party. All riding their 1970's ear choppers and sporting leather and swastikas. It's like looking at a casting call for extras for the movie "CC Rider".

C: The wife and I want a place that's a little quieter and relaxed. Over the past 30 years I have lived in numerous cities, (Houston, El Paso, Las Vegas, and Indy), and we just want a place where it's quiet, peaceful, and easy for us. A place that allows us to have box gardens and perhaps a small chicken coop for my wife to have a couple of egg laying hens.  You can take the Kansas girl off the farm.....

So we started looking around.
The Indiana housing market (like a lot of areas right now), is explosive hot. Currently as of this writing the hottest housing market in the nation is in Ft. Wayne, Indiana although no one can really explain why.
Houses here in the Indy area are getting offers within days (if not hours) of being put up on listing. The competition is fierce as Indy is expanding and many folks are moving here. Most of these people are from California, Oregon, Washington, Illinois and Ohio, but hey, whose been checking?... ;-)
Naturally as the demand for houses outpaces the supply of current places, prices have been climbing.

We looked at two and immediately decided against one of them.
The other one we made an offer on. It came up on Friday, we saw it and made an offer on Saturday, and on Monday was told we were outbid by 20K. (Six offers in two days).

So we looked some more.
As we peered through Realtor.com and Zillow.com, my wife's eyes suddenly snapped to one.
"Ohhh...this is nice." She said.
So we read about it.
And last week we went to see it.
My wonderful wife (Gawd bless her!) fell in love with it. That was pretty much all it took.
It's a little country farmhouse, approx 120 years old. It's sitting on 1.5 acres of land and is out in a quiet country setting, in a nearby county that is far enough out "in the country" to be "country", but still close enough to towns/cities (4 of them) to make for easy driving.
The amount of money we paid in property taxes on our current residence will cover almost five years there.
So we made an offer on it.
The offer was accepted and well, we are now in the paperwork phase and the "wait" phase for all of the inspections to be done.
Plus...there's a surprise...
"If" we get it...I might get my man cave!!!!
If we get it, pics to follow!

More fun to come!
Wish us luck!

Packing up the Display Case Figures and Other Stuff....

As we continue into this chaotic mess known as "pre-planning/pre-packing, and pre-staging" for our upcoming move, one of my biggest projects is "Moving all of my gaming stuff".  Truly this is going to be a Herculean effort as I simply have "a lot of toys". Not as many as some but still...enough.
One of the task I have before me was to pack up my painted 28mm figures that I had in my display case for storage/transport. The case is over 6 feet tall and originally came with three shelves, (we've added four more since them, and have two more that can go in), and is packed with over 600 painted 28mm figures, (most of them mounted on 1/4" fender washers for bases.). So this was going to be a bit of a job I thought.

The Display Case...

Some of the many figures needing to be packed and ready for transport.

Oddly enough this was simpler than it seemed.
A while back, (Sept 9, 2016 to be exact), I made a purchase of some IRIS scrapbook cases at Hobby Lobby. I had waited until I caught them on sale and then went in whole hog. Unfortunately "whole hog" in this case was only six, (for a total of eight that I ended up having).
These cases by IRIS (They are advertised as holding 12" X 12" stuff but their actual measurements are 14 5/16" X 14 1/8" X 3 1/8" in size). Unfortunately, since this Covid 19 mess, the Arts and Crafts stores have gotten a little pricey and these things were always pricey, (hence my one time purchase and HL and only then on 50% off days), at usually anywhere from 8-15 bucks a pop. So imagine my surprise when a certain office supply store had these on sale at 6 for 28.95.  So yeah I jumped and ordered a dozen, and strangely enough the USPS (not Amazon), had both boxes on my door in less than a full week.

These items are study; opaque but clear enough that you can see what is in them, and easy to work with. They are "slick" plastic though. To keep the figures in the case, I also bought some adhesive magnetic rolls.

By cutting the rolls in half, you can do two boxes with 12 X 12 inch squares. SUGGESTION: To get a better adhesive grip, wipe the inside of the case with a rag wet with rubbing alcohol, and let dry. This removes the oils from the plastic, and provides a better grip for the adhesive.
Cut the adhesive and slowly apply in the middle of the box. You will have about an 1/8th to a 1/4 in gap space on either side if done correctly, (Depending on the magnetic sheet).

Not too shabby to hold the figures in, and pretty easy to do, even for me!

Two of the finished cases awaiting figures.

So, at this point you can begin to load up figures.
Each case can take 144 28mm figures that are on 1/4" fender washer bases, (12 rows of 12).
Larger and smaller washer bases will be different.

And in they go....

144 figures per case...not bad...

Once they are done, 2-3 layers of soft bubble wrap is placed on top of the figures to hold them in place and the top is then closed.
Easy peasy....

Quick and relatively painless storage and transport of figures.

I was surprised as it only took four cases to do the entire shelf, (well a good 95%). There are some figures in there that are not on the fender washer bases and thus will be individually wrapped and bagged before being stored. But overall the process was quick and relatively painless.  I still have the other cases to mount my painting queue figures in, and eventually once we are moved and the "Man-Cave", is up and running, these cases will be converted over to troop storage for my 15mm stuff and my vehicles, (which seem to be constantly growing.)
On a sad note, my once stuffed full display case, is now looking sad and lonely and very, very, empty....

Waiting to be restocked with figures again...hopefully, one day soon....

More to come!

So I did a stupid thing....

So at the beginning of May when we decided to move, my wonderful wife (Gawd bless her!), discussed the fact that "When we move, I will need a man cave."  Now in "woman speak" that could mean "Sweetie, let's get all of your gaming stuff in an area where you can play and paint and have yourself "your space".); OR in some cases it is "We need to find a place for you to store all of this silly crap and not have it clog up the house like it has been."
Thankfully, mine was the former.
BUT....
During this time, a stupid idea flowed into my head.
"While I am getting all of this stuff together, why not go ahead and count it all out and inventory it and see what I have?"
Sigh...I never learn do I?
The last time I entered into this blog o' mine that I did (or even attempted to do) an inventory was 6 June 2014, and the number came out to around 872....
"So!" sez I. "I'm going to sit down and count my 28's..."
My wife smiles. "Your 15mm needs to be counted also."
"No woman!" I say, wagging my finger at her. "That way lies madness!"
"And your 20mm needs counting, as well as your micro armor, etc..."
I sighed.
CURSE THIS WOMAN AND THIS THING SHE HAS CALLED "LOGIC"!!!!!
So I started counting.
And counting.
And counting.

After about a week, I finally stopped counting....
The current (mostly accurate tally) is:  6134
Yes that is correct. Six thousand, one hundred, and thirty four unpainted figures.
This includes all the lead and the plastic, and the Reaper Bones IV KS, but it does NOT include the Reaper Bones V KS that will be arrived next year and will add another 4-500 figures to my horde.

Still...
The number makes me blink.
So then I broke it down:

25-28mm
Fantasy: Regular Size:     527
Fantasy: Large:                25
Pulp/Retro/Interwar:        88
RCW:                               323
Western/ACW:                 189
Victorian/Colonials:         200
Horror/Gothic:                 77
WW1/WW2:                    22
SYW/AWI/18th Cent:      29
Pirates:                            249
Sci-Fi:                              16
Modern:                           7
Gangsters:                      59
Misc: (animals, etc):       119

20mm
Vietnam:                      191
(This includes figures, vehicles, etc)

15mm
Vietnam:                      246
WWII:                         121
ACW:                          413
AK47/Modern:            637
Sci-Fi:                         141
Misc:                           14
19th Cent/Colonials:   10
Zombies:                     21
Napoleonic:                 83
Ancients:                     14
Medieval:                    3
VEHICLES
Wheeled:                     15
Tracked:                      27
Aircraft:                      9

Misc:
Micro Armor:              52
Dystopian Wars:         7
Wooden Ships:            1

Whew...
So there it is...
The breakdown.

So I decided to work this formula...
"If I was able to sit down and paint four figures a day, every day with nothing else to do, it would take me 1,553.5 days to paint ALL of them."
So this would take me: 221.9 weeks to do them all.
This would be 4.26 YEARS....
And that is if I do NOT buy ANY MORE FIGURES...
...
...
...
And the Reaper KS V will be coming....
I'm going to go cry now...

A long, overdue, update....

Overdue Update, Explanation, and MOVING!!!!

Holy crap, it's May 2020!

The last thing I know (well here on this blog at least), was that it was April 2018.
And then here it is now...
You're probably wondering "What in the heck happened?"
Well...the only real thing I can say is that "Life happened."
Things got weird towards the end of 2018 in our lives, (medical wise, family wise, legal wise, health-wise and job wise), and the more we seemed to solve issues the more issues kept piling up. Some of it was of our own making, but a lot of it was also due to us having to "adult" a family member that was living with us that essentially had no goals or initiative in their life to do anything other than play video games all night and sleep all day.
Money became tight, and repair bills became constant.
In the summer of 2019, I had an accident, which resulted in me being in a wheelchair for six months. I spent most of the months of Jan and Feb re-teaching my right leg "How to walk again."  I am now able to move pretty well. True I won't be winning, (or even running), any marathons in the near future, or wowing the chicks with my slick moves on the dance floor, but I can get from point A to point B pretty well now. Sometimes though I take my walking stick (aka "Kinderschlager") as a "just in case".
Due to life taking priority; gaming, (and this blog), took a place far on the back burner.

Sadly enough, earlier this year my wonderful wife (Gawd bless her!), and myself took a cold, hard, look at the reality and made the decision that "We have to move."
The reality of it was this:

1: Indianapolis is expanding like a cancer. Our current area is building up quickly (commercial wise).
Developers are looking at the residential areas where we live and salivating with the opportunity to get them rezoned commercial and thus make $$$.

2: As a result of this expansion, street repairs, and "enhancements" that should have been done years ago, are now finally getting done.

3: As a result of this, our property taxes have continued to skyrocket. They've increased steadily over the last six years.  This will result in the people in the residences being eventually unable to pay their property taxes and thus be forced to move. The developers will then buy the residential properties, rezone them into commercial and thus make $$$ (See #1 above.)

4: Sadly also, our neighborhood, (which we have lived in for 14 years now), is becoming "A hood".  We've got a guy a few houses down from us that I am just waiting on him to get a visit from the ATF one day as well as the FBI coming around to ask about "his biker buddies with the swastikas coming over to visit all the time."

So yeah...we have to move.

Our current plan is to look for a nice little place out in the country. My wonderful wife (Gawd bless her!), wants someplace "Country" so that we don't have to worry about it. She also wants to have a garden and perhaps a small backyard chicken coop. (You can take the girl out of the Kansas Farm, but you can't take the Kansas Farm out of the girl.)....
So small town living and country houses it is.
On the plus side, the wife has said that "I need a man cave." So one of our "needs" is a place where I can finally, FINALLY, get all of my gaming stuff unpacked (some of it since has been packed up since the mid 90's), and get it all together, and set up as well as a dedicated gaming table.
So that is where we are at with this.

HOWEVER....
One of the biggest chores I have ahead of me is packing up the gaming stuff. During this time, I also did a STUPID thing, (silly man that I am), and counted and inventoried my unpainted lead.
Honestly? It almost made me cry.
So I started slowly packing up the unpainted figures and labeling them for inventory and loading purposes.
This is where I stand right now....

My unpainted lead.

Yeah....I feel ashamed....
The first two columns of boxes are just the 28's alone...
The big box on the left is my Reaper Bones IV KS...sigh; followed up by the second box being NON Bones KS Reaper figures, (all the Reaper figures I have that are not in the 4 or 5 KS). The black box is my "The Chicago Way" stuff, followed up by a box of the plastic sprues (28 and 15mm) from Wargames Illustrated Magazines. On top of that is the 1/43 (28mm Die Cast Vehicles),  finally topped of with the 28mm Boxed sets of figures.
The second column starts with a plastic case of NON-Reaper 28mm fantasy figs, followed by 28mm Odds and Ends figures (In the blue box), then #8 box is 28mm SYW/AWI.  Boxes 9-12 are 28mm Pirates, RCW, Colonials, and Western/ACW respectively.
All in all approx a dozen boxes for 28mm figures.
To the right of that, is ONE box holding all of my unpainted 15mm figures and the smaller square box holds ALL of my 20mm stuff (Vietnam war).
So yes....the ladies are right...."Size DOES matter!"
The open box is currently all of the "odd stuff", (Dystopian Wars Fleets, 1/35th WWII, etc.)
So yes, this is all of the unpainted figures.
No buildings, no terrain, no scenics, nothing... None of the worktable stuff, etc...
And NONE of the painted figures.

Speaking of painted figures...
This is what I still have to pack....

As well as the figures in the Display Case.

And after ALL of that, I can then finally start packing up the worktable, and all of the supplies that I have, (paints, brushes, tools, lights, etc..)

To be honest I am going to need a small cargo van just to move the figures and gaming stuff...

And then there is the booze....but we will get to that later.

So, here's to coming back to this blog in 2020 and getting it going again.
I will keep updating as things progress.
